During the Spanish Civil War, the masonry suffered a very hard knock down in the zone dominated by the insurgents. In the part controlled by the Republican government, the incidence of the events also affected negatively its organization and development. This was clearly proved by the memory written in July of 1937 for the Secretary of the Great Regional Lodge of the Northeast of Spain.
