Abstract

Among the people who fled into exile after the fall of Catalonia against Franco’s troops, freemasons were more than thousand expatriates. We present a list of members of “the institution of square and compass” that were in France in May 1939, outside the internment camps. There we find Republican political figures, Catalan and Spanish; we value geographical and sociological aspects about the exile of the fraternal organisation.
