The contribution aims to be a pedagogical and didactic tool, aimed at secondary education, to begin the study of what was the Civil War in Pallars Sobirà. It focuses especially on the war heritage of Sant Joan de Vilamur (Soriguera). Its fortifications are among the best preserved in Catalonia. The visit to Sant Joan de Vilamur is presented in a contextualized way, dealing with the most diverse aspects of military technique and technology, but also of everyday life. The aim of the work is to affect the students of Secondary Education, to make known various aspects of the civil war based on a historical-archaeological reading of the structures of a heritage complex.
