Abstract

This paper contains the results of the first archaeological and historical research campaign on the fortifications of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) which are located in Algarra and Casas de Garcimolina (Cuenca). There were built by forces related to the Second Spanish Republic and they belong to the so-called «XYZ Line» on its westernmost side. Archaeological cuts and surface surveys have been carried out, in addition to beginning the work of interviewing and searching for archival information.
