The abundant literature created about the International Brigades (BBII) during their intervention in the Spanish Civil War (1936 to 1939) in favor of the Republic is well known, and much more that produced after their withdrawal and once the war was over, either by its former combatants or by historians who studied the details of those peculiar units.
On the other hand, very little is known about the literature produced by the BBII themselves during their intervention in the conflict, a few books of which there are some studies, and a huge number of newspapers addressed to the combatants of those units, the brigade members, either in Spanish or in the languages of the majority of each group. Let us remember that there were volunteers of more than fifty nationalities, of whom there are hardly any detailed studies.
A compilation of the newspapers published by the BBII is presented, of which more than a hundred have been located so far. A brief description is given of them: language or languages in which it is written, unit that publishes it, dates of publication, printing press and location, numbers published and how many are known, pages of the copies and some characteristics that define them.
