Este artículo, capítulo final del libro Technology and Gender: Fabrics of Power in Late Imperial China, ofrece una síntesis del estudio llevado a cabo por su autora sobre la ginotécnica en la China imperial tardía, esto es, sobre el conjunto de tecnologías que definían el lugar de la mujer y sus papeles, produciendo ideas sobre ellas y sobre el género. Atendiendo a actividades y experiencias materiales, matiza el estereotipo tradicional de la mujer china como recluida y dependiente, analizando las tecnologías de producción y reproducción.Downloads
