Austriacisme i clandestinitat a la Barcelona ocupada el 1714: noves aportacions sobre la gènesi del pamflet Lealtad Cathalana
Keywords:
Spanish War of Succession, Austriacism, printing, press, Rafael Figueró.Abstract
Despite military occupation, the Austriacists that remained in Barcelona in the aftermath of the Spanish War of Succession deployed intense subversive activity against the Bourbon regime, among which the clandestine circulation of the pamphlet entitled Lealtad Cathalana stands out. This work posits the thesis that this propagandistic paper was published by the printer Rafael Figueró after the 11 September 1714, and that its author was a Capuchin friar who took refuge in Cardona in the last days of the siege of Barcelona.
