Command in the periphery. The gobernador-corregidor of the City and Royal Force of Ibiza (1715-1812)
This article analyses the figure of the Ibizan “gobernador-corregidor” between 1715 and 1812. The proposal is to study the transition to the Bourbon municipal administration in Ibiza-Formentera, the application of the New Plant, as well as the competences and requirements of it “gobernador-corregidor”, their functions and their judicial advisors. Some conclusions close the article.
