Abstract

This article has the main goal of carrying out an analysis focused on the supplement of the first edition of the dictionary by the Real Academia Española (DRAE 1780). The study is mainly configured from two axes: on the one hand, new words and re-entries are examined, and, on the other, the changes produced within the entries already registered in the main body of the dictionary itself or from Autoridades are observed. All in all, it is intended to contribute to the expansion of the study of the first edition and assess the integration degree of the supplement in the next edition (DRAE 1783).
