Thirty-nine documents on obstetric violence were selected. The bibliometric analysis categories used were database, year of publication, authorship, geographic scope and journal; in addition, methodological and content categories were analyzed, mainly the manifestations of obstetric violence and possible solutions to it. Conclusions. Obstetric violence is a growing topic in Latin American scientific journals. The quantification of its manifestations and the search for solutions to eradicate it is a common objective in all the publications, proposing, among other alternatives, training as the most effective method to put an end to this type of violence.
