Abstract

Objective. To identify actions and experiences of sexual And reproductive health of Latin American immigrants women that use primary health care. METHOD. A narrative review with search in the database in Dialnet, Pubmed, CUIDEN, Redalyc, Scielo and BVS. The key words used were «Women», «Migrants», «Primary Health Care», «Reproductive Health» and «Sexual Health» with the Boolean operators «AND» and «OR». Studies on the care of immigrant women from Latin America in the context of reproductive and sexual health are included, excluding studies focused on the pediatric, elderly and male population. Results. A total of 16 articles were included in the analysis, which were divided into four categories: Access to health care, public health strategies in sexual and reproductive health, experiences in sexual and reproductive health and perceptions of health. Conclusions. The sexual and reproductive health of immigrant women is influenced by several variables, including sociocultural factors and factors associated with access to health care. There is a lack of information on sexual and reproductive health, therefore, there is a challenge to increase research in this area, as well as studies that evaluate the reach and impact of sexual and reproductive health actions implemented in migrant women in order to generate policies and care protocols that allow improving and adapting sexual and reproductive health care, narrowing the gaps in the effective use of health services, bringing migrants closer to the formal and equitable health system in sexual and reproductive health.
