Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor has it been previously submitted to another journal (or an explanation has been provided in "Comments to the editor").
  • The file is in Microsoft Word format.
  • Citation of 50% on journal articles indexed in JCR, SCOPUS or Scielo. The text complies with the stylistic and bibliographic requirements in APA 7 established in section «Author Guidelines
  • Articles are accepted in: Spanish, English and Catalan.
  • The article focuses within the editorial lines:

    I. The process of European convergence in matters of Higher Education and the construction of a global university: essays on the nature and impact of the process of European convergence in matters of university studies, mobility and internationalization, the European and international academic programs available to students and their convertibility, etc.

    II. The function and structure of Higher Education and the vocational orientation of graduates: essays on the design and content of legal studies, the impact of legal education on the employability and professional inclusion of graduates, the relationship between professional practice and academic qualifications, the social role of universities and legal studies, etc.

    III. Learning methodologies and strategies: essays on techniques, methodologies, strategies and tools for teaching and learning law.

    IV. The learning process: planning, monitoring and evaluation: planning and documenting trials of the learning process and its results.

    V. Accreditation and Certification of the Quality of Higher Education: essays on the evaluation, certification and accreditation of programs, institutions and professionals. National, European and international Higher Education Quality Agencies. Teaching excellence and pedagogical training of teachers.

    VII. Research in Higher Education and Legal Studies in Comparative Law.

    VIII. Higher Education Financing Policy.

Author Guidelines

Guide to submitting articles with the OJS platform

The Education and Law Review uses "Double-Blind Peer Review". Consequently, anonymization is guaranteed and must be guaranteed throughout the entire process of both authors and reviewers. 

Through the OJS platform, when submitting, attach the anonymized article in Word format. Likewise, include another document with the authorship data (name of the author, brief biographical summary, institutional affiliation, email, ID ORCID, references to funding sources and any other relevant information).

The special relevance of bibliographic references in APA 7 must be taken into account. Check if the following source is required.

Presentation

Presentation: It includes two or three contributions in the form of a presentation that will deal with the content of the monographic section of the respective issue.

Monographic Section

Sección monográfica: Incluye artículos e investigaciones cuyo denominador común es el tratamiento de un tema común predeterminado por el Consejo editorial.
Dicho Consejo, en colaboración con el Comité de Vocales de la Junta Directiva, designará la planificación de los contenidos de las secciones monográficas a incluir en cada número de la Revista.
Potestativamente el Consejo Editorial podrá delegar en investigadores expertos en la materia, la coordinación de la sección monográfica de determinados números de la Revista.

Research, studies and relevant reports

Relevant studies, research and reports: This section basically includes articles on legal pedagogy, academic-teaching publications, research and unpublished research in the field of Higher Education and, where appropriate, reports of significant relevance that justify their publication in the Journal.

Educational experiences (innovation)

Teaching experiences: Includes original studies on experiences and new teaching and evaluation strategies of Higher Education applied to Legal Sciences and, where appropriate, also Social Sciences.
Those experiences that—once contrasted—have offered positive results, will be extended to the rest of the members of the educational community in favor of improving teaching quality.

A contribution structure is recommended that addresses the following points:

• Purpose and delimitation of the study
• Theoretical frameork, if applicable, background and foundation
• Methodology and design
• Results
• Conclusions and, where appropriate, inferences

Bookshelf

Reviews: They must deal with relevant scientific works in the field of Higher Education and Law. Classic works of recognized relevance in the world of pedagogy will also be reviewed, particularly on teacher training and research and diagnosis methods in Education.

In relation to matters of form, the heading of the review must include the authorship data of the author of the book according to the criteria set forth. The name of the reviewing author will appear on the last page of the review.

Regarding the substantive aspects, the review must give an account of the main ideas expressed in the work, to which end the author may choose the structure he decides for this purpose (e.g. commentary by chapters, by thematic blocks, etc. .).

This section does not require the peer-review requirement, but rather the decision will rest with the Editorial Committee itself.
