Abstract

This article presents a practical classroom activity about iusnaturalism, positivism and resistance to power which makes use of various scenes from the film Sophie Scholl. The final days. Among the goals of the activity are to enhance students’ knowledge of theoretically complex issues and to foster an interdisciplinary learning combining legal, historical and film studies.  The questions proposed to approach the issues at stake are analysed from the viewpoint of the screenplay as it unfolds in the scenes, but also in relation to the semiotic resources employed in them, such as the use of photography, music or different shots. The activity is rounded off with some concluding reflections about its results and scope for further development.
