Year 1309. Jaume II, in connivance with the Castilian king Fernando IV, starts a crusade to conquer the Muslim territory of Granada. During this conflict, the city of Almeria was besieged by the Aragonese monarch. In this episode, a group of inhabitants of Vilafranca (north of Castelló) who leave their homes to go to combat will participate. Thanks to the testaments that they ordered before their departure, we can observe the incidence of that event at a micro level, and also get to know the people who participated better.
