In the sixties, building a culture with democratic roots was not an easy task. The break created by Francoism made the task of reconstruction, which was subject to great limitations, difficult. This article analyses to what extent this reconstruction was able to or wished to draw on the pre-Civil War tradition, and also looks at the degree of influence on this process of the great novelties that burst into the scene in Western culture. All of this played out by young people who could not know, in a normal way, the legacy of the generation of the Republic.Downloads
