Abstract

In Mallorca the dictatorship remained in a hegemonic power. Its foundations were strong social and political. The policy initiatives of the democratic opposition were dynamic but social, political and cultural control and repression remained successful. Must review fidelity to the Catalan language and culture by the majority of the population. The activity of group of professionals and intellectuals that although a minority use of Catalan, it made a series of cultural activities and publications.
