The text reflects on the political and cultural background of the Salazar dictatorship. Its fight against the political, constitutional and liberal democratic principles materialize with the recovery of the legacy of the organizational and corporative thought that had different exponents in Portugal and internationally throughout the XIX century. It stressed the important role played by the concept of the State in the mind of Salazar and the consequent configuration of the dictatorship.Downloads
