Abstract

With the aim of affecting the cultural debate of the country, the Unified Socialist Party of Catalonia created in 1954 the magazine Cultura Nacional. Its study will provide us with a series of data to know the cultural horizon of the Catalan communists previous to the XX Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and at the entry in the party of the first intellectuals from Barcelona in 1956.
