This text serves two fundamental purposes. The first part reconstructs the biographical trajectory of a part of the life of Gabriel Arrom i Julià, the Mallorcan politician and economist, exile and anti-Franco fighter, who was active in the governing bodies of the Unified Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSUC) and the Communist Party of Spain (PCE). In the second and more extensive part, although biographical data is provided, his profuse work is analysed predominantly, but succinctly, which makes sense in relation to the political strategies formulated by both parties and from the areas of performance of his activity in service of the restoration of democracy.
