El present assaig analitza el paper que les dones tingueren en la consolidació i el desenvolupament de la ràdio barcelonina durant una etapa concreta del franquisme: la dels anys 19401950. Utilitzant com a marc de referència l’evolució de la ràdio en aquestes dècades, l’article estudia la participació femenina en el mitjà radiofònic i posa en relleu el procés de professionalització radiofònica de les dones i les aportacions de locutores i actrius radiofòniques en la consolidació d’un model cultural de comunicació de masses que s’assentà en les dècades posteriors
