Conversant amb Ignasi Terradas i Saborit. Antropologia, universitat i societat: la necessitat d'una lectura crítica de l'actualitat
Abstract
With this interview, Ignasi Terradas i Saborit, Social Anthropology Professor at the Universitat de Barcelona, shares his viewpoint on our discipline and he explains why he believes that it should not be defined anymore by the famous field work method and should be defined instead by its goals and contents, if we want it to preserve its critical capacity. He also talks about Ethnographic Realism as the most reliable way of approaching the intercultural and intersocietal comparison and the anthropological knowledge in general and in the field of Juridical anthropology, to which he has focused his attention in the last few years. All with a critical reflection about his own academic path, about the current situation of the university, subject to important changes, and about what he believes the ethicosocial engagement of the teacher-researcher should be. We will note how important is for him a resistance to what he calls vulgar or rude liberalism.Downloads
