Abstract

Like few countries, Mozambique experienced deep transformations in the space of thirty years. These transformations were marked by the introduction of different productions and developments. Models, with a compulsorily modernizing Character. This should aimed to turn a tribalist traditional world in a modern one. According with this fact and starting of the Mozambican migratory circulation we will try to question the relation between economic modernization and political modernity, during the colonial and post-colonial periods, taking one important aspect: the explicitly coercitive character of the use of the labour force and to confront this to the diversified answers of the inhabitants, subjects to these processes of labor affectation, specially the former Mozambicans workers in the GDR.
