“Cansadas de ceder”. Sentidos de la politización del género en el Espacio de Mujeres de un movimiento piquetero.

Abstract

The deep socioeconomic transformations of contemporary Argentina have been progressively imposed since the 70s. Their intensification during the 90s worked as a context for the emergence of the movimientos piqueteros. From the perspective of my fieldwork, I intend to describe and analize the Frente Popular Darío Santillán´ s experience, focusing in the place that the presence of an Espacio de Mujeres as an organic stance of this organization plays. I will dwell upon a particular event, a campamento de formación organized in 2007, to argue that the subjects treated, as well as the kind of activities and relations involved, can be seen as a Politicization of Gender, through the “construction of a visibility” of women and gender relations, on the “daily life” of those women respecting those relations, and on the “shared experience” that they construct.
