This paper is a slightly modified version of the speach pronounced by the author on the round table “Dolores Juliano, memory and legacy”. That speach ocurred on 10 February 2023, dedicated to the figure of the anthropologist Dolores Juliano. The venue was organized by the Equality Commission of the Faculties of Philosophy and Geography and History of the University of Barcelona, with the collaboration of the Department of Social Anthropology, in the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
