Abstract

Historical recreation, re-enactment, is an activity that is projected in formal and non-formal learning teaching spaces. The University of Barcelona has developed various experiences to promote historical recreation that has included, among other periods, that of the Spanish Civil War. In a manner consistent with the practices developed in other European countries, recreational activities have ignored any recreation linked to feixism and have focused on the civil and military republican environment. The strategies developed have focused on students of the master's degree in primary education and those of the master's degree in heritage management and museology. The objective in both cases has been to prepare future professionals in the environment of didacticism and historical-archaeological communication (in classrooms or museums) to consider the possibilities of historical recreation to approach such a complex, socially complex topic. as sensitive as that of the Spanish Civil War.
