Abstract

The existing experience on didactic workshops of the Spanish Civil War for formal and non-formal teaching-learning environments is very limited. The present study describes an empirical praxis regarding the design and experimentation of didactic workshops on the 1936-1939 war, developed in contexts of university training for teachers, heritage professionals and primary and secondary school students. The set of practices described has enabled the consolidation of versatile workshop models that can be applied and developed, with appropriate corrections and adjustments, to different topics linked to the Spanish Civil War. The workshop proposals have a functional nature, and are applied indiscriminately in formal and non-formal teaching-learning environments. The Civil War is considered from very diverse points of view, with a civilian and everyday view of the conflict prevailing.
