This double monographic issue of Matèria. Revista internacional d’Art (14-15), entitled Intersections Between Music, Word and Image, is intended to contribute to the debate and the exchange of theoretical, critical and historiographical studies on the close ties that music has had throughout history with the other arts, by encouraging the proposal, using very diverse methodologies, of new interpretations with respect to the work of art, the artist and the aesthetic experience.
