Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The texts sent for publication must be unpublished (not previously published).
  • The file should be sent in text format (doc, docx or rtf).
  • Text Calibri 11, exact spacing 18pts
  • Title
  • Abstract From  500 to 1.000 words
  • Keywords  Separated by ;
  • Format of the graphic material. Jpeg 300 dpi

  • Bibliography APA norms

  • Mini CV Aprox 50 words
  • Anonymity All references to the author (s) must be removed from the text and the name of the author must be changed to "AUTHOR".

Author Guidelines

A- Procedure for sending articles
1.- Those interested in publishing on "on the w@terfront" should send their contributions in Word format by email to aremesar@ub.edu. Next to the article you must send a short CV and ORCID NUMBER

2. To ensure anonymity in the review process, the author must remove all references to the author (s) from the text, changing the name of the author to "AUTHOR".You must also ensure that the author's identification has also been removed from the file properties when this is a Microsoft Office document.
You can submit the article when you consider it pertinent since the reception of the same is permanent.



B- Types of articles

The content of "on the w@terfront" is mainly made up of scientific articles, especially those derived from academic research. Other types of documents are also published such as: bibliographic reviews, reviews, biographies and communications or experiences reports .

The structure generally used in these articles is: introduction, theoretical framework, methodology, results and their analyses, conclusions and bibliographical references.

Also included in this section are articles where the author exposes, analyses or evaluates a specific scientific-technical, historical, architectural, etc, topic, that make a relevant contribution to knowledge. This contains a relevant argument, appropriate and theoretically documented, as well as a clear methodological procedure and appreciable conclusions.

C- Requirements for articles

The articles must consider the following requirements:

• Unpublished work: The texts sent to publish must be unpublished (not previously published).
• Data of the author or authors: Full names, institutional affiliation or place of work and address for your contact. ORCID filiation. You must also attach a mini CV (60 words maximum) of the author, indicating: higher academic degree, profession, entity where you work, functions, country and email, which will be published next to the article in case of an evaluation positive.
• File format: The file must be sent in text format (doc, docx or rtf) in Spanish, Catalan, French, English or Portuguese.
• Extension: “on the w@terfront” prioritizes illustrated articles (with photographs by the author) and an extension between 8,000 and 40,000 words.
• Prioritize, also long summaries, between 500 and 1,000 words, to facilitate the search on the servers.
• Typography: Calibri Light 12 exact spacing 18.
• In general, the footnotes should be explanatory notes and will not be used for bibliographic citations.
• Graphic material: Photos, figures, graphs, tables and / or diagrams etc. they should be listed and indicate titles or explanatory legend related to the subject of the article and the origin (author and / or source, year, p.00). They must also be inserted in the text in their approximate location.
• Graphic material format: Sending in independent files; minimum resolution of 300 dpi / dpi and 600 for gray scale in jpg format.
• Tables: The tables must be in text format, included in the body of the work and following the rules of APA.
• Responsibility: The author is responsible for acquiring the reproduction rights and / or authorizations that may apply, for illustrations taken from other sources. Illustrations become public domain when the author is over seventy-five years old. Written proof of the corresponding permissions of the original authors or editors must be included.
• Bibliography and appointments in APA format
