A study on secondary school students' fictional stories: dystopias and social organization

This research explores students' representations of social organization through their approach to fictional stories. From the perspective of teaching, we wanted to use dystopias, which are very present in the digital media and have a strong influence on young people. The learning perspective is embodied in the students' stories, in their testimonies, in their writings and in their reflections. Dystopia has allowed us to situate ourselves between reality and fiction, becoming a theme that has given rise to a contemporary social critique, which in turn allows us to connect with education for the future, but also for the present, becoming a very useful tool. In research, it allows us to get closer to the social representations of students and their possibilities for change. In terms of educational innovation, it is a magnificent strategy for working on the basis of social problems or conflicts.
