The Bologna process in Spain has the strong opposition of many law professors expressed recently in a manifesto. However, within the framework defined by Bologna, legal studies can be directed to the model that the manifesto claimes and methodological renewal is our best tool to get it. The first part of this article offers a retrospective overview of the Conferences on Innovation in the Teaching of Legal Sciences and the conclusions of its first and second editions (Tarragona, 2005 and Málaga, 2007), with the aim of contextualizing the reasons, functions and results under the current critical debate about the European Higher Educations Area and methodological renewal in the field of legal education. In the second and third parts respectively, and by courtesy of its authors, the article reproduces the full results of the first and second editions of the Congress, as an expression of the milestones achieved in creating a culture of teaching quality in legal education in Spain.Downloads
