«Por qué se escribe»: Zambrano and the edge of the rift

Starting from the analysis
of the essay ¶\Por qu.
se escribe¶] (1934),
written by the young
Mar.a Zambrano, the
article investigates
the general scriptural
practice of the philosopher,
showing what
gravitates and agglutinates
around it: both the questions
explicitly explored
by her thought — like
passivity, solitude, emptiness,
the word as a creative
agent — and the less
explicit but nevertheless
stimulating questions —
like the role of the impersonal
and identification as
a gesture both acted and
suffered of the internal/
external rift to the self.
