A Minha Senhora da Saúde: O Processo de apropriaçâo individual da Senhora da Saúde de Touvedo
Abstract
The Blessed Virgin Mary shows up in different ways and taking countless names, one of which is Lady of Health. However, Lady of Health also materializes in several forms across various communities of Portugal, such as Lady of Health of Touvedo. Based in Mary’s historical plasticity, and supported particularly by an etnography of the beliefs and the believers’ religious practices, this article intends to sustain that beyond a communitarian appropriation relations of special intimacy with Lady of Health emerge, shaping a process of individual appropriation of Lady of Health of Touvedo.Downloads
