Antropologia applicata all'invervento psicoterapeutico. L'esperienza del Centre Georges Dévereux
Abstract
This article describes some theorical premises and practical devices developed at Centre Georges Dévereux, founded in Paris by psychiatrist Tobie Nathan and devoted to the treatment of immigrant patients. Moved by the need to avoid simplifications in translations between cultures, Nathan and the équip of the Centre developed a critical theory of modernity and of the current psychiatric paradigm, based on the teachings of contemporary anthropology and on the urge to help psychanalitic discipline to deal with the defies of present times. For anthopology, ethnopsychiatry represents a possibility to contribute in the building up of a practical knowledge.Downloads
