Abstract

Lately, intersectionality has been gaining strength as a studying reflection. But it is rarely approached into African epistemologies. No mention of the link between how the racial/sexual stereotypes are exposed, and the impact it has on the international scientific-social narrative of the African continent. This fact prevents the Africans themselves and its diaspora to be fully understood. The objective of this text is to invite you to think about the transformative potential of intersectionality acknowledgment in social sciences. Rethinking about our "objects of study" will allow us to continue to use this tool in any academic field.

KEY WORDS: Intersectionality; situated knowledge; African epistemologies; access; social sciences.
