Author Biography

Laura Romero, Universidad de las Américas Puebla

Laura Romero es etnohistoriadora y antropóloga sociocultural. Desde principios de este siglo, ha trabajado con comunidades nahuas de Puebla, México. Inicialmente, sus etnografías se centraron en registrar rituales terapéuticos, lo que la llevó a estudiar la violencia obstétrica. Recientemente, ha realizado trabajo de campo en las faldas del volcán Popocatépetl, investigando los efectos de la hegemonía estatal frente al riesgo volcánico, y en los últimos dos años, ha enfocado su análisis en el despojo territorial en Cholula, Puebla.
