The article compares Veena Das's contributions to the study of violence with the narratives of victims of sexual harassment in schools. It first presents the way in which Das understands the phenomenon of violence and then frames sexual harassment as something that makes up the life course of victims. It also discusses the collective nature of this violence and the place of the victim. The paper concludes by identifying mechanisms that facilitate a process of reparation.
