As soon as francoist dictatorship started, some theoreticians took an interest in a great mural painting in order to extol the new regimen and its values. However, mural painting failed as a heroic expression of the dictatorship due to its artistic traditionalism. We focused on the mural paintings located in Saragossa’s Airport for being very representative of the conservative character showed by a large number of the mural paintings made during the dictatorship.Published
