Abstract

This paper discusses the ambitious urban planning of the main square in the city centre of Saragossa, a great space endowed with religious and political symbolisms of great significance to Franco’s dictatorship, although its monumental decoration experienced many upheavals, being its main outputs the Monument to the Fallen and the Monument to Goya.
