Abstract

This article focuses on the study of the figure of Manuel Sacristán Luzón (1925-1985), considered by some to be the greatest Spanish thinker of the second half of the 20th century (Jesús Mosterín). There are two preferred lines of action of Sacristán, interconnected, that focus the analysis of this contribution: the task of introducing to the Hispanic languages some European Marxist intellectuals, mainly as a translator of their works of essay, and his connection with these other intellectuals. The sources used are those contained in the personal archive of Manuel Sacristán, at the University of Barcelona, as well as bibliographic sources.
