About the Journal

(Con)textos: revista d'antropologia i investigació social (ISSN en línia: 2013-0864) is a university journal dedicated to the dissemination and presentation of ethnographic research results. It arose in 2008 at the initiative of a group of researchers linked to the University of Barcelona. In 2016, the “Anthropologies Association” took charge of the Department of Social Anthropology and formed an editorial team. In 2021, a group of doctoral students from the “Culture and Society” program of the Department of Social Anthropology joins the editorial team, strengthening the link with the University of Barcelona. The journal seeks to reach a broad audience, not only readers but also researchers who intend to publicize the results of their research. This is how it favours the approach to the new generations of anthropology students and other related disciplines, with the aim of providing a space for the dissemination and exchange of knowledge without losing the rigour of debate, reflection and training that has always characterized the magazine .

Starting with number 7, we wanted to offer an open call for jobs regardless of profile and degree of experience, such as recent graduates, with master's degrees or working from activism. In addition, this opening has been accompanied by a change in the magazine's corporate image, with the intention of updating it and making visible the new editorial approach.

(Con)textos: Revista d'Antropologia i Investigació Social celebrates its 15th anniversary.

(Con)textos: Revista d'Antropologia i Investigació Social is pleased to announce the celebration of its 15th anniversary with a special event to be held on Tuesday, May 21st at 5:00 PM in the Jane Addams Room, Faculty of Geography and History at the University of Barcelona.

The anniversary program includes a roundtable with founding members of the journal and from the current team, where experiences and reflections on the journey of these 15 years will be shared. Additionally, it will feature the participation of Diana Mata-Codesal, who will deliver a talk titled "Anthropologists! How to publish in scientific journals?", specially prepared for those who wish to embark on this path.

As the (Con)textos team, we hope this event contributes to fostering dialogue and the exchange of ideas among attendees.
