Abstract

Starting from un ethnography about the religiousness of the Ecuadorian emigrants in Rome and in Barcelona, we can see a slight but significant difference in their interpretation of the Christian Eucharistic ritual in comparison to that which you can find practiced in the two European metropolises. From the evident ethnography of the emigrate sufferance Ecuadorian devotion, because they were inserted in a religious context which is more introspective than the previous, we will start by a theoretical observation which will above all be based upon The Birth of Tragedy by Nietzsche in the Apollonian-Dionysian. We recognize a similarity between the function of the attic tragedy and that of the Eucharistic ritual such as places in which they meet and integrate harmonically, these different ways bring them closer to the divine and to the mystery of life. We try to demonstrate how they are complementary and to go from the religious ethnography equivalence: expressed religion-primitive religion.
