This work had two purposes: develop a conceptual model about mentoring in graduate level that allows the identification of diverse variables associated with its dynamics from a systemic perspective; by the other hand, prove empirically this model with graduate students of various programs (Medicine, Chemistry and Psychology). For this purposes, a specific questionnaire employing Likert scales was elaborated and validated. T-tests and One-way ANOVA were used to compare group means. The analysis of the data showed similarities and differences in some variables by study program, and was possible to identify variables that benefit the training process of graduate students via mentoring.
