Abstract

The objective of this work is to make a melodic analysis of declaratory and absolute interrogatory statements in spanish as a foreigner language. The analysis follows the theoretical model proposed for Cantero (1999, 2002). In this study, the productions of spanish as a foreigner language with the corresponding productions in spanish and portuguese as a maternal language have been compared in order to observe the characteristics of the prelinguistic intonation of the Spanish spoken by Brazilian.
