Dario Fo, Franca Rame, Nobel Prize for Literature, performances and publications in SpainAbstract
In this article I study the reception of the work of Dario Fo and Franca Rame in Spain from 1970 to 2000. In order to do so, I will review translations and representations made in these three deca-des in Spain in both Castilian and Catalan and I will analyze articles and interviews about them published in newspapers and magazines. 1997 is a key year for the reception because the con-troversial award of the Nobel Prize for Literature to Fo puts these figures in the focus of our print media and increases considerably the number of publications and performances of their works in Spain.
