The article deals with the dilemma of translation as a model of Exchange of cultural goods. It presents a reflection on translation as result of journeys and diaspora where contacts among people, communities and nations stimulate creations of commensurable codes of mutual understandings and tensional mixture of traditions. Since translation has played a crucial role in bringing new learning and wider understanding to cultures all over the world in different epochs, it enables languages to carry out memories of cultures. Rather than merely supplanting one form of words for another, the translator has the capacity to enhance understanding and intercultural mediation throughout temporal and geographic boundaries. This is the way how translation mainly takes part in the cultural history of humanity. The article includes as well a theoretical and methodical model for literature translation.
