NÚÑEZ GARCÍA, L. (Universidad de Salamanca): FROM DANTE TO PASOLINI. THE ITALIAN TRANSLATION OF POETRY DURING THE FRANCO’S DICTATORSHIP (1939-1975)

Abstract

This paper aims to establish the most complete framework as possible of the Italian poetic works translated and published in Spain during the Franco dictatorship. From a historical point of view, the study focuses basically on quantitative aspects of translated works, such as selected authors, chronology, publishers and translators. The appearance of these Italian poetic works   in the Spanish publishing market somehow reveals the political and cultural evolution of Spanish society between 1939 and 1975.
