Although Alba de Céspedes was one of the most influential writers of the Italian literature in the XIXth century, today she occupies a marginal position in the Italian history and literary criticism. For this reason, this paper tries to recuperate her personality, showing, in particular, her projection in Spain especially through the many translations of their works that appeared almost contemporary with the publication of her works in Italy, and prove the success that the Italian writer used to have in our country, although it has decreased since the postwar period.
