Literary Reception, Translation, Galicia, GrialAbstract
For many years Grial has been “the journal” par excellence in Galicia and even though it is true that it has not published a significant amount of translations, the ones published are important from a qualitative point of view.
The universal spirit imprinted namely by its founders to act as a vehicle for Galician culture and to establish bridges for incorporation of universal culture into Galicia, is still present in its current operations. The journal is now open to new issues of contemporary culture. Works that appear in Grial have a twofold approach: that of providing information on the reality in Galicia whilst simultaneously reflecting on the diverse aspects of universal culture. Grial today is an essential source of information for researchers from many disciplines, especially literature, linguistics, philology, history, and translation, specialisations to which the journal has dedicated a great number of pages ever since its creation.
