This paper analyses some of the basic elements concerning the translation of poetry from the perspective of Wolfgang Iser’s phenomenological approach in the reading process. After considering key concepts of phenomenology, this paper studies some examples of poems translated from English and French into Spanish, always emphasizing the idea that, even though it is a difficult task, the translation of poetry is possible.Downloads
