Abstract

This article has three objectives: to propose a methodology for the selection of L2/LE Spanish sounds to be taught at an immersion course, to present a contrastive analysis of both River Plate Spanish (RPS) and General American English (GAE) vowel and consonant sounds, and to present an inventory of the RPS sounds that should receive treatment in an L2/LE Spanish class.
